Prior to European settlement, the lower north shore of Sydney was home to the Gorualgal in the east and Cammeraygal around the middle and north shore. To this end, The Moody Chef would like to pay its respects to the original landowners of the area.
Moving on, around 1821 Edward Wollstonecraft built a cottage, the ‘Crow’s Nest’ and, according to his business partner Alexander Berry, chose the name “on account of its elevated and commanding position”.
Since then Crows Nest has evolved as a creative hub, retail precinct and renowned foodies hangout. Do yourself a flavour and swing by the Lunchbox soon. We’re sure to delight.
